As NewrealestateBonaire we don’t sell real estate ourselves on Bonaire. We inform, we point the way, and we mediate. For that purpose we have a broad network of professionals at our disposal: real estate advisors and real estate agents with expertise in the local market, specialized lawyers and notaries. And of course, we know all the developers who have proven themselves with successful projects.
Our role is focused on providing transparency and insight into the presentations and sales process.
Procedure
A (second) home in the tropics, away from it all. Who doesn’t have that dream sometimes? This dream can become a reality for you too. How? Read our plan of action.
Step 1: Interested?
Your interest in a (second) home in the tropics has been aroused. You consider the different projects on our comprehensive new real estate sites to get familiar with the land/island of your preference and the specific real estate projects.
Step 2: Exploratory talk
Do you want to know more, after your orientation, about the projects and about everything involved in buying a house in the tropics? Make an appointment for a free exploratory talk in our office. We will answer all your questions. Call 050-5472225. The exploratory talk consists of two parts:
Part 1
We will address the country and the project which you prefer, the ins and outs of buying new real estate in a foreign country and the possible kinds of (joint) ownership.
Part 2S
Subsequently, a financial advisor will discuss the different financial possibilities and the feasibility. Topics like a mortgage abroad, a second mortgage at home, emigration and the pensionado-arrangement will be discussed.
Step 3: Deciding which kind of ownership
You can choose to purchase on your own or with several participants (joint ownership). The intention of your purchase might be for investment purposes.
Do you prefer to buy on your own and is that choice financially feasible? Then it would advisable to first visit the country and location of your choice for an inspection on site. (See step 4)
Are you considering buying with friends and sharing the costs and pleasure? In that case, you’ll have to find serious partners.
We organize informative group presentations for that purpose, at which time important matters like finance, forms of ownership and contracts will be discussed. Specialists will clarify everything so you will broadly know what you are getting involved in. Are you interested in buying for investment purposes? Let us personally inform you about the projects which might be of interest to you.
Step 4: inspection tour
You already have a positive advice on the feasibility of buying a (second) house in the tropics. And you have also made a choice of the possible form of ownership. You know which country you prefer.
It’s time for you to check out the location. For your convenience we can organize the complete trip for you.
For Bonaire this means:
- Plane ticket at reduced rate
- Free accommodation on location
- A guide who will meet you on location and provide you with all relevant information.
Step 5: Decision to purchase
We will provide complete assistance should you decide to purchase after inspection.
We will arrange the deed of sale and our financial expert can arrange the financing, if desired, and the notary will arrange for the completion and payments.
This will all be taken care of in a reliable manner from the Netherlands. Should you choose a joint ownership, then the notary will take care of the joint legal entity and the joint purchase.
All this to give you a secure feeling.
