Sports

Bonaire is a true paradise for lovers of scuba diving, (kite) surfing, snorkeling and other water sports.
Because of the constant sea breeze and the shallowness of the bays you’ll find the most beautiful and safest places to practice your favorite (under) water sports.

If you prefer solid ground under your feet, there are plenty of other possibilities to play sports on Bonaire.
E.g. you could go land sailing, play tennis and, of course, visit the gym.

For lovers of golf, there is plenty of opportunity to hit the ball.
Aruba is within easy reach and has 2 excellent and extensive golf courses.

Food and Beverages

Bonaire has excellent restaurants with quality food at a good price. The island is well-known for its peace and quiet and doesn’t have a busy night life. There are 2 nice bars: Havanna and Karels Bar.
A glass of beer is relatively cheap: 3 Netherlands Antilles guilders which is about $ 1.50.
The water on Bonaire is very clean: you can drink from the faucet.

Sightseeing

You will be surprised by the variety in scenery on Bonaire: The South with its vast sea views and saltpans and the North with its hilly landscape and many cacti, trees and other tropical flora.
It is possible to explore the island on your own or by coach with a guide.

Antother attraction is the National Park with its highest mountain called the Brandaris ( over 790 feet high).
At the beautiful Goto Lake you can admire the Caribbean flamingos.

There are many sights to visit on Bonaire: the Donkey Sanctuary, the Butterfly Farm and countless stunning views and rockwork.

Transportation

There are enough car rentals on Bonaire, e.g. at the airport and at the Plaza Hotel.
Tanking gas won't be a problem as there are three gas stations on the island.
